These are some nice raw chunks of Lepidolite. The other "raw" forms of it that I have ever found were all like flat sheets, so I was surprised and excited to find these chunks of it. I ordered them as well as my Black Kyanite in my desert themed box from the Best Crystals web site. They not only had a good variety and prices on everything, but when my order arrived I was shocked by the quality and size of the specimen. Each of these are almost palm sized chunks and they only cost, literally, a couple of dollars. The same with the Black Kyanite they are the same size. And I know there was something else exciting that I ordered form them but I can't remember what it was now. Ill have to find my receipt.

This I had to get. Eventhough it's only SALT. the way that it forms is so interesting to me. Although the more things we collect nature amazes me more and more. The fact that nature can create such interesting things is amazing. I was captured by the pyramid shape of this mineral and if you flip it over it's exactly the opposite inside, an inverted pyramid. The only bummer about this one is that it is salt so you can't really handle it or your body oils start to desolve it, so its best just looked at.

This is another little specimine that my wife found in one of our local rock shops. We were intrigued because the tag said that it was rare. we weren't sure how rare so we looked it up in our rock book when we got home. The book never really mentioned it being rare but the fact that the specimen we have is larger and prettier than the one in the book made us feel that it was still a good investment.
